The New Year...

Well 2010 is fast approaching, only 3 days to go. I can't believe how fast this year went!

Well with the new year, I'm wanting a new me! Monday of next week I'm starting my beloved Weight Watcher's again! Last time I did weight watchers I lost more than 20 pounds. With all the craziness of the wedding planning and other things out of my life it's time to get back on track and loose these rolls that have formed :-)

This weekend I hope to also take down all the Christmas decor...I'm sad to see it go already!

I'm excited about also getting storage shelving for in the laundry room so I can get things out of the middle of the room and up and organized against the wall to make my little exercise area.

Here's to a new year....2010 here we come :-)

Christmas at the Lugo's

Pretty much all Christmas decor is up until I add a few things here and there!





It's the start to a crazy weekend.....Tomorrow I'm kicked out of the house for a Bachelor Night, Anthony's cousin is getting married Saturday so we have the wedding Saturday as well as the downtown Christmas Parade, last year our church handed out Free Hot Chocolate and we are doing it again this year....they are calling for possible snow so we shall see!

Sunday Anthony and his brother are taking their dad to a Redskins game for his birthday and my beautiful mother-n-law and I are having a mother daughter day so I'm super excited about that!!!

Every weekend for the whole month is booked solid....here we go to the beautiful Holiday Time!

Reflective Meeting...

Right after work today I went up North to Dumfries to meet up with 2 old High School teachers, Mrs. Scoleri & Mrs. Jackson. These two I will never forget and they mean the world to me and I'm blessed to have them in my life. I went through a lot with them in my High School career and stood by them as their FBLA Vice President and then President.

Mrs. Jackson was able to be apart of our BIG DAY, but Mrs. Scoleri was not which was part of our reason for meeting up so I could share all of our Wedding Photos with them and we could all catch up on life :-)

While going through the pictures one of them had the back of a head of a truly loved and dear man to our hearts, Mrs. Jackson goes that's the man I sat next to at the reception, I was like Bob Irby? and then my other teacher goes I know him from such and such church and his brothers owned a construction company.....I got kinda sad and had to tell them that he past away 2 weeks ago tomorrow....both teachers were very shocked with the news....

Then Mrs. Jackson tells me about her first impressions of Bob Irby and before she left how he spoke into her life; which later that day and the next day situations came up and she recalled exactly what Bob had said to her and it was exactly what she needed to hear. Because Bob was obedient to what God wanted spoken into her life she was able to be used by God which is what He wanted!

Just writing this God is continuing to speak to me...

How are you living your life? Are you leaving an impression on those that you meet even for a day? What kind of legacy are you leaving behind?

Our lives are so intertwined and you never know who you will run into that will make this world seem so much smaller.....Are you giving hope to those around you?

Are you allowing God to move through you? to speak through you?

Life is too short......Give it up to the One that matters....Let it go.....Stop holding on and tryng to control this life on your own....Live life to the fullest because you never know when your last day will be...

The Holidays

Sorry it's been so long since I've posted anything, life is on Full Blast for sure and I don't see it slowing down anytime soon....but I keep praying time would just slow down a little :-)

We bought ornaments for our Christmas Tree this weekend and I'm so extremely excited and can't wait to put up all our Christmas Decor for our First Christmas as a married couple!
I've also ventured way out in my exploring of cooking/baking and made my first Flan this week, not just Flan, a Pumpkin Flan it's been a huge hit and it was freakin amazing I must say!
I'll be making it for our Turkey Palooza dinner at church and then for Thanksgiving!!!

Finally

I finally did my little Fall Project I wanted to do...and I'm pretty happy about it

Where is time going?!?!

I love the Fall season and all that comes with it: Fall Decor, Pumpkin Spice Latte, Cool Crisp Weather, Pumpkins and all the yummy flavored pumpkin stuff.....but man it came up real fast!

Yesterday marked our 2 month Anniversary of our amazing marriage. I can not believe it's only been 2 months, it seems so much longer. I am just madly in love with this man God has so kindly and graciously given me!

We pretty much have most of the house put together. We still need to get our end tables for the living room, whenever we make it up to Ikea again. And I have a little pile in a corner of things that I still need to find a home for. I feel like our house work will never be complete because there are so many projects that need to be done eventually, but I'm okay with that. I'm okay with taking our time to make this OUR Home!

I'm still in the process of doing ALL my thousands of Thank You cards...Lord help me get this done!

I'm in the never ending busyness time of the year as the church Outreach Director, but I enjoy every moment of it! We have the Fall Festival at the end of this month. Turkey Palooza in November. The Hot Chocolate Outreach for the Christmas Parade the same day as Anthony's cousin's wedding!

We are heavily involved in ministry and wouldn't change it for the world. CVC and the people of Fredericksburg have our hearts. Many people have spoken into our lives about being pastors and it's very exciting, but at the same time makes me a little scared....but My Daddy knows :-)

Well I suppose that's all I'll bore you with for now!!!

Celebrating 1 month...

Today marks our 1 month of Wedding Bliss.

Tonight we are celebrating with our topper of the cake as well as a wonderful dinner prepared by me, lol....Chicken and Green Bean Casserole!

We are thinking of something else to do to celebrate, but we haven't thought of anything yet :-)

It's so hard to believe it's been a whole month already, I feel like it's only been a few weeks....time flies when you are having fun!

Married Life & My Husband

I absolutely love being a wife and making the house our home!
I enjoying making coffee and breakfast every morning....
I enjoying making our lunches to take to work....
and I love even more making dinner for my husband and I and him coming home to me every night.
It's a joy to see him smile and be so happy....
It's been fun watching him build things in the house...
I love going to sleep with my best friend by my side and waking up to his handsome face every morning...Thank you Lord!!!

He surprised me the other night and brought home beautiful flowers, chocolates, and wine...he did this in celebration that I got my new Social Security Card and I've also gotten my license as well so everything now says "Ashley Lugo"

He is so special to me :-)
He amazes me more and more everyday and my love for him just gets bigger and bigger daily!

I'm so excited to do life with this man. I'm even more excited about the ministry we will be doing as a married couple in the years to come...God has big plans, bigger than we can ever imagine. More people tell us they see pastors hearts in us....God only You know where You will take us and what we will be doing....The joys of the unknown, and it's even better with someone by my side!

We will have internet at the house starting this weekend so many many pictures of the wedding and honeymoon are to come!

We had an absolutely AH-MAZING Honeymoon!!!

We are back to the daily grind. I went back to work today and Anthony has the rest of the week off which is good because he gets to put together ALL of our furniture we bought yesterday!

We are super excited about putting our house together and making it OUR home!!! I get to unpack all my things that have been packed away for a year and we have been blessed with so many gifts from the wedding we are having fun :-)

Only 4 days away....

Until I marry my Best Friend and the Man of my Dreams. I can't believe our Big Day is finally upon us.

I've never been so excited for something in my life :-)

We had a HUGE group of church family help us move all of our things into OUR NEW HOUSE this past Friday; CVC is such an amazing blessing to us in so many ways...We Love you all!!!

The house is ready for my family who will be here TOMORROW night!!!

Tomorrow is my last day at work and then I'm relaxing with the family and doing last minute running around before Saturday. Thursday I'll be picking up our tablecloths and getting a pedicure and massage!

Friday is setup at the church at 2 and then we have our Rehearsal and Dinner...Then My lovely ladies and I are going to a hotel for the night.

Ahhhhh I'm getting married THIS SATURDAY!!!

10 Days and counting....

I feel like we are on the home stretch. 10 Days till I say "I Do" to Anthony Lugo :-)
I am beyond excited to share my life with this man for the rest of my life!

Friday we close on our house and will be having a moving party with a bunch of friends and family!

Once we move all the boxes and furniture in the house Anthony & I will begin to scrub down the house and then put furniture together and un-box as much as we can to get ready for my family that is staying at the house next week!

I get to see my amazing parents, my siblings, my grandparents, some Aunts & Uncles, and some cousins in just 7-8 days!!!

Just a few things on my mind....

#1 Sometimes I just feel really out of place here at work, because many times I just can't or don't relate to these people and wont chime into some conversations because it's about in appropriate things......These are the days I wish the church had money to hire me on :-)

#2 I'm really annoyed that we most likely with the way things are going wont be closing on Wednesday.....Lord please just allow it to be this week so I can at least have the house ready for my family to stay in it next week for the wedding.

#3 I can't believe I will soon be Mrs. Lugo, 12 days ladies & gents....I'm so extremely excited to marry the man of my dreams. Every day I fall more and more in love with this man. The past few weeks we have been learning a lot more about each other and our selves, it's been so sweet. I'm excited to spend the rest of my life with my Best Friend!

#4 I'm excited to see all my family and friends that are coming in next week :-)

My first....

I made my first Hunny Do List for Anthony today :-)
haha...it was very funny....it was pretty small until we started talking about things and we realized on his day off today there was a lot more that could be done to get ready for our "Closing Date" on the house next Wednesday!!!

We have our Electric setup to start on Wednesday, now he just needs to do water.

My Ring and bands are back, so I get my ring back today...I'm so excited!!!

7 Days till we are home owners and can start moving things into the house
14 Days till my family is in town
17 Days till we say "I Do"

We are now in the teens...(19 days)

So today we have been told we will find out how much we need to bring to closing with us, which is next Wednesday. I can hardly believe that Anthony & I will be home owners next Wednesday. I'm so stinkin excited!

I put my wedding dress on last night since Anthony's mother's Aunt is doing my bustle and it was just a little too snug for my liking....so I'm on a mission to loose at least 5pds possibly a little more if I can in 3 weeks...ahhhhh....workout & fruits & veggies here I come!

I can't believe that we are just weeks away, 19 days baby...wooohooo!

This weekend we plan to book our hotel for the night we get into Puerto Rico and then the 2 days we are staying there when we get back from the cruise. I'm extremely excited for this honeymoon/vacation :-)

Celebration

Well tonight I'm suppose to pick up my Engagement Ring with my wedding bands, they were in the shop to get my bands fitted around my ring. I'm too excited to have my ring back on my finger :-)

We had such an amazing Detour meeting last night, it's fun and exciting seeing and watching God move. I love our group!

Tomorrow is my Bridal Shower and I'm so excited to celebrate with all the friends and family!

Let all the celebrations begin...

25 Days....

I'm just too excited to say the big day is only 25 days away :-)

We are pretty much done with everything. Still little details that need to be worked out and we have to pay for food and some people that are helping us with things, but other than that we are READY!!!

1 Month to go

Well 21 days till we close on the house and 30 days till we are married! (I'm not counting today) :-)

This weekend we hope to finish up some wedding/honeymoon shopping for any clothes and wedding items we still need. We are also hoping to run into some awesome sales for other items we need for the house.

We are taking my wedding bands in tonight with my ring :-( boo I don't want my ring to leave my finger....we are taking them in so the bands can get sized around my engagement ring. We probably wont get the rings back for 1-2 weeks.

Thank you Lord that you are are provider and you have overwhelmed us with everything you have given so far, Thank you!

Saturday is our Big 4th of July bash...I'm pretty excited about it!!!

38 Days and counting...

Life has been emotional, challenging, and growing these past few months.

Life is very full right now....Planning for a wedding, in the middle of purchasing a house that we are going into closing for on July 22nd, I miss my family like crazy and wish they could be with me in this time of my life, and church which is my life is moving full speed ahead.

Life is very exciting...Rachel is getting married this Saturday, woohoo. Anthony's cousin Nadir just got engaged, my bridal shower is on July 11th, Closing on the house July 22nd, planning for events for CVC!

Life is beautiful...I'm madly in love with the man of my dreams, God is teaching me many things about myself; which at times it hurts, but I know He is molding & sculpting me to His image!


I started this blog to join the Blogger train and also I'm about to start a new life as a married woman and we want to share life with all of you so this will keep everyone up to date on the Lugo's life!
